Portland man arrested for Scarborough armed robbery

Anthony Lapio, 20, of Portland was arrested Friday after a robbery at the Bad Dog Deli on Route One in Scarborough.
Around 5 p.m. on June 15, Lapio went into the business and demanded cash, according to the Scarborough Police Department. He was armed with a knife and took an undislosed amount of cash from the cash register, officials reported.
A traffic stop on Route 1 led to his arrest a short time later. He was taken to the Cumberland County Jail and charged with armed robbery.
