Capisic Street, Canco Road sites of utility work Monday

Beginning Monday, Aug. 2, sewer installation and utility work will be underway on Capisic Street between Colonial Road and Macy Street, and storm drain installation and utility work will be happening on Canco Road between Read Street and Wellington Road, the city warned. Hours of work on both projects are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Capisic Street will be closed to all through traffic during this work. Drivers will be detoured down Lucas Street and Colonial Road to reach either end of Capisic Street. Pedestrian traffic will still be able to cross through the project, but pedestrians should observe site directions, city officials said. The work is expected to last approximately two weeks.

Canco Road will be closed to through traffic. Resident and business access will be allowed from the Walton Street side of the project. The work is expected to last approximately two weeks. the city warned.

Drivers may want to seek alternate routes to avoid traffic or delays.
