The Good Table wins breakfast cookoff


Lisa Kostopoulos and the staff from to The Good Table in Cape Elizabeth won Restaurant Week's Incredible Breakfast Cook-off at Sea Dog Brewing Co. Friday morning, organizers reported. The Good Table's Creme brulee French toast was voted best overall by guests of the event.

Maine's "Champions of Breakfast" competing in the event included: Bayou Kitchen, Becky's, Congdon's, Dysart's, The Good Table, Maine Diner, Miss Portland, Moody's Diner, Port Hole and Sea Glass Inn by the Sea.

Maine Restaurant Week started March 1 and continues through Wednesday, March 10. This is the second year for the statewide event, which promotes dining during March, traditionally one of the quietest months of the year for Maine restaurants.
